Añoreta Golf

 

Founded in 1990 and designed by Jose Maria Canizares, Anoreta Golf was the first golf course built in the Axarquia. Its location is privileged – in Rincón de la Victoria, a few minutes from cultural attractions as the Museo Picasso Málaga and the Cave of Nerja, and just 25 minutes from Malaga Costa del Sol airport, 20 minutes from the AVE Station Maria Zambrano. (Mediterranean motorway A-7 Exit 258).

Anoreta Golf is an 18 hole, par 72 course. It’s a very varied golf course and enjoyable to play, requiring the use of every club in the bag. Furthermore, Anoreta Golf has a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea as it is just a kilometre from the coast.

 

Lauro Golf

 

Situated next to the Sierra de Mijas this pleasant, rural golf course provides a fair test of golf as well as wonderful panoramic views. With 27 holes, flat parkland terrain and tree lined fairways, the course is a long-time favorite on the Costa del Sol.

The course has a basic layout, but is peppered with water hazards. In addition there are large, fast greens and challenging winds which demand a little extra skill. The course is suitable for all levels of player and is an ideal venue for assessing your strengths and weaknesses.

 

Chaparral Golf Club

 

El Chaparral is an 18 hole golf course which sweeps along the undulating coastline of Mijas Costa, approximately 20 minutes drive from Malaga.
As soon as Spanish architect Pepe Gancedo was commissioned the local golfing fraternity waited with baited breath to see if he could surpass his other design triumphs at Torrequebrada and Golf del Sur. They were not disappointed.

The course and Clubhouse are unique on the Costa del Sol. Practically every hole overlooks the sea, and the nature of the terrain, the indigenous vegetation and pine forests ensure that no two holes are alike. Indeed with six par 3’s, six par 4’s and six par 5’s it is a beautiful and challenging course to play.
